This $19.5 million NYC penthouse that Scarlett Johansson once visited is selling in an all-cash deal

An Upper East Side penthouse that Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost once visited has found a buyer.

The residence, in Wales at Carnegie Hill, last asked $19.5 million — down from its asking price of $23 million in 2022. It’s in contract for close to its current asking price — in an all-cash transaction, for started.

“Every unit in the building is an all-cash deal,” developer Matthew Adell, of Adellco, told Gimme Shelter.

At 4,179 square feet, the sprawling spread features five bedrooms and five bathrooms. It is a new build house, built on top of the famous Welsh hotel during its historic conversion from hotel to apartment.

The hotel itself, built in 1899, is located at 1295 Madison Ave. Once a home for artists, it later became a gathering place for a certain crowd to get ready before attending the nearby Met Gala.

The full-floor condo also boasts a massive 3,114-square-foot terrace on two levels — and includes an outdoor kitchen, wet bar and rooftop fireplace, along with stunning views of Central Park and the Reservoir. Usual rates are $9,293 per month.

The penthouse opens onto a gallery. A dedicated elevator and curved stairs lead to the roof terrace. There is also a chef’s kitchen with windows, a corner great room with a fireplace, coffered ceilings and French doors leading to the terrace.

The building’s interiors are by Pinto, a Parisian firm founded by the late Moroccan-born interior designer and photographer Alberto Pinto. Fahad Hariri, the son of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafic Hariri, is the new owner of the firm.

The Welsh building’s amenities include a gym, a pet spa and bike storage, while the lobby features coffered ceilings and antique mirrored walls. The listing broker is JP Forbes of Corcoran. Ryan Serhant and Emily Yaffe, of Serhant, repped the buyer.
